Kuymak, one of the most popular dishes of
Trabzon, is a delicious dish made with corn
flour, butter and cheese that can be served as a main
meal, a snack, breakfast, lunch and dinner.

Ready to be a table decoration with its variety and
richness of flavor, this 700-year-old flavor is quite similar
to the “omelet” and “crepe” recipes that have entered
our language from French cuisine, with the basic
ingredients being flour, eggs and parsley. Long
before omelet and crepe were consumed with
pleasure in 17th century Europe, kaygana, which we
came across in the work called Marzubanname in the
1300s, is a Persian word and is translated into today’s
language as “flour egg dish”. Many experts in the field of
culinary history accept that the origin of omelet is
kaygana. Prepared with different ingredients in every
province from the Black Sea to Eastern Anatolia, kaygana
can be eaten sweetened with jam, honey or molasses. 175₺
